Fruit Pizza

This is an award winning recipe - I won first place at a Church social with this recipe. It's pretty and it tastes wonderful.

Fruit Pizza

Sugar cookie dough:

1 cup shortening

2 cups sugar

3 eggs

4 tbsp milk

4 cups flour

1 tsp salt

2 tsp baking powder

1 tsp soda

Mix first 4 ingredients together. Add the rest. Spread into a large cookie sheet-round or rectangle. Bake at 350° for 15 minutes. Let cool.

Cream cheese filling:

8 oz cream cheese

1 cup powdered sugar.

Mix together. Fold in 9 oz cool whip-don’t whip!

Spread over crust. Place cut up fruit over top: pineapple, strawberries, kiwi, bananas, mandarin oranges, whatever you want.

Glaze: 1 cup sugar, 3 tbsp cornstarch, ½ cup water, 1 cup pineapple juice (from can). Cook until thickened and let cool, pour over pizza, especially bananas.
