Cheesecake

Some people are afraid of baking a real cheesecake. I will admit - it takes some skill in determining when the cheesecake is done, but with practice it becomes quite easy. This is a great recipe to try if you're just learning to make cheesecake and an easy one for the pro.

Cheesecake:
Crust:
1 cup graham cracker crumbs
3 tbsp sugar
3 tbsp melted butter

Filling:
4 pkg (8oz each) cream cheese, softened
1 cup sugar
3 tbsp flour
1 tbsp vanilla
1 cup sour cream
4 eggs
Crust: Mix crumbs, sugar, & butter; press into 9 inch springform pan. Bake at 300° for 10 minutes.

Filling: Mix cream cheese, sugar, flour, & vanilla until very well blended. Add sour cream & mix. Blend in eggs. Pour over crust.

Bake: @ 300° for 1 hour and 10 minutes or until center is almost set. Let cool. Refrigerate overnight. Can add chocolate chips to batter, or top with fruit afterwards. Print Friendly and PDF Pin It
