Nacho Tortilla Beef Pie

My daughter, Anna, loves meat. She went gaga over this recipe, as she also loves nacho cheese doritos! I like it with less chips. I also think adding some corn would be good. I love corn. :)


Nacho Tortilla Beef Pie

INGREDIENTS:

1 1/2 - 2 cups nacho cheese dorito chips, crushed

1 1/2 lbs ground beef

1 can (8oz) tomato sauce

1/2 cup water

1 envelope taco seasoning

1/4 tsp pepper

2 cups shredded cheese


Place chips in an ungreased 9 inch pie plate; set aside. In a large skillet, cook beef over medium heat until no longer pink; drain. Add the tomato sauce, water, taco seasoning, and pepper. Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened.


Spoon half of the meat mixture over chips; sprinkle with half of the cheese. Repeat layers. Bake, uncovered, at 375 degrees for 10-15 minutes or until heated through and cheese is melted. Serve immediately. Yield: 6 servings.
