A recipe from my mom. You can make it without chocolate chips, but why would you do that?!??! (just kidding, you don't have to)
Chocolate Chip Banana Bread
1 8oz package cream cheese, softened
1 cup sugar
2 bananas
2 eggs
2 1/4 cups flour
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
3/4 cup chocolate chips (optional)
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Mix all ingredients together except for chocolate chips. Stir in chocolate chips. Pour into greased and sugared* loaf pan. Sprinkle sugar lightly on the top of the bread before baking. Bake for 1 hour and 10 minutes or until knife inserted comes out clean.
*After you have sprayed the pan with non-stick spray, sprinkle sugar on the bottom and sides of the pan. Once you try this, you'll never go back!
