Another recipe from my youth. It's basically a white sauce with cheese mixed with cooked ham & potato chunks. Very satisfying.
Ham, Cheese, & Potatoes
INGREDIENTS:
7 or 8 large potatoes
Sliced ham or smoked sausage
2 cups shredded cheese
3 tbsp butter
2 tbsp flour
2 cups milk
Salt
Pepper
½ tsp Garlic powder
Can of peas, drained
HOW TO PREPARE:
Melt 3 tbsp butter in saucepan. Add flour and stir. Dash of salt, pepper. Dump in milk. Whisk. Stir until thickened and then stir in cheese & garlic. Slice potatoes & boil until cooked, drain. Cut ham. Mix together with potatoes & cheese sauce. Lastly, stir in peas.
